ARCHIBALD C. RUFTY FITNESS ANNEX

Dedication & Open House Scheduled !

The Archibald C. Rufty Fitness Annex is close to completion.  A Dedication & Open House has been scheduled for Sunday, June 29 at 3:00pm to christen this new 4,000 square foot addition to the Center.  

The Fitness Annex will allow for a dedicated space for the Center's numerous exercise classes and programs, and use of fitness equipment, in an environment suitable to these activities.  Other interior remodeling within the existing building will provide for a new back entrance, connecting hallway to the front of the building, an expanded Game Room, better office space, and expansion of space for the Senior Services Department.  In addition, the project will reconfigure and add some new parking spaces in the back of the main building.

Donations to the Building Fund continue to be sought to pay for this $800,000.00 project.  Frances Rufty has made the lead gift to the campaign in memory of her husband, Archie.  In October of 2007, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to name the new addition the Archibald C. Rufty Fitness Annex.

Approximately $10,000.00 remains to be raised to complete the project, and continued contributions are welcome and accepted.
