Title V Senior Community Service Employment Program
The AARP Foundation serves as the local coordinator for the Title V Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). The Title V SCSEP is a job training program targeted at lower income older adults who need a period of re-training or re-tooling to be employable in the private sector workforce. Funding is provided for minimum wage training positions to work in positions with government and non-profit agencies while attending training classes and programs. Working in concert with the JobLink program, AARP staff members assist enrollees to eventually obtain employment in the private sector.
AARP maintains an office for Title V administration in Rowan County at Rufty-Holmes Senior Center. For more information, contact James Miller at 704-216-7720.
