Goal: Provide additional programs and services designed to
address the needs of a growing older adult citizenry.
Objective: Continue to provide research-based programs, and utilize “best practices,” in offering health promotion & disease prevention services based on nutrition and physical conditioning.
Objective: Develop a comprehensive Pre-Retirement Program to assist
local citizens and businesses with responsible retirement planning.
Objective: Provide leadership in the Branch Collaborative of the Regional “Community Resource Connection” designed to provide “person centered” access to aging & disability services.
Objective: Develop additional consumer finance educational programs.
Goal: Enhance the
Center’s physical capacity to accommodate the needs of older adults accessing
programs and services.
Objective: Develop additional parking capacity for the Center’s main campus.
Objective: Expand days/hours of operation for Center events and services.
Objective: Install automatic door openers at rear entrance(s) to Center building.
Objective: Establish a Café bar on-site to provide more options for snacks and light meals.
Objective: Provide additional storage capacity for clubs & organizations.
Objective: Expand resources in the Fitness Annex & Aquatic Exercise Facility.
Objective: Utilize social media and evolving communication vehicles to inform & educate clients.
Goal: Further
develop the financial, human and community resources necessary to be effective
in the delivery of programs and services.
Objective: Develop resources to fund five-year plan objectives.
Objective: Emphasize estate giving opportunities. Develop capacity to accept debit/credit card payments.
Objective: Explore additional methods to reduce operating expenses without affecting program services.
Objective: Continue to invest in staff resources.
Objective: Continue to empower older adults to be actively involved with the Center, community organizations, and projects as volunteers, including participation in local governance.
Objective: Maintain National Accreditation/State “Senior Center of Excellence” status.
Objective: Work collaboratively with churches, government, and other community organizations to increase capacity for service delivery.
